I totally think you should go for it. And one of the reasons I'm saying that is the average entry age for Harvard/Stanford is 26, and you would be pretty in line for those programs.

I know they're not on your preferred school list but I really think you should check out for them.

You have a lot of really diverse experiences in terms of extracurriculars, which I'm sure would serve as excellent fodder for essays.

You've demonstrated leadership in multiple settings. You seem really interesting. You have international experience. You have outstanding statistics, in face of taking on a difficult major.

I see the work experience as a non-issue. You'll have three years upon matriculation and the fact that you achieved some progression by going from an intern to a full-time hire is also quite attractive. So I do think that the eight month internship would count for something.

My biggest concern for you at this point is your Midwestern humility. If you have any interest in working with admissions consultant I would love to talk.
