Critical Square,
I'd appreciate some help with a dilemma I'm having. First, a bit on my background:
Private Lib Arts School Undergrad, 3.0 GPA in History (ugh, I know). Zero quant courses. ROTC, commissioned in 2009 into the Army as an officer. Strong work experience, consistently ranking above peers and being put in positions above my grade. Took the GMAT for the first time, 700 q47 v40 IR6 AWA6. I was disappointed. Took again, 710 q43 v44 IR8 AWA6. Surprisingly enough, I was MORE disappointed because my quant was so low.
Target programs: Johnson, Fuqua, Kellogg, Booth, Tuck, Ross, Darden, possibly Owen.
Dilemma: Do I retake my GMAT? I think I have a shot at the above schools due to my Army time and decent GMAT, but I'm extremely disappointed with my latest quant. I feel like I could do better... do I bother? I'm currently taking "Math for Business" at UC Berkeley Extension to build an alternate transcript and working with vets at target schools and in target industries to get my applications in a good place. Is it worth the time and money to retest?
Thanks for reading, and I'd appreciate any help you might be able to offer!
