1) Full-time work experience.
Operations position at top 15 bank (6 months)
Management position at a retail store (12 months)
Customer service, negotiating short sales. (12 months)
Total 30 months work exp as of now.
2) GMAT
700 Q49 V36
IR: 4 (38 percentile) – Only concern regarding gmat, but really not looking to retake.
3) College info:
Small state university. Major – Business Management. Cumulative GPA 3.53.
4) EC:
Black Belt program for Mixed Martial Arts
Amateur Bodybuilding
Looking to start volunteer work in a marketing firm or elsewhere
5) Target programs.
Potentially looking at:
UCLA (Anderson), UNC (Kenan-Flagler), UT-Austin, and Tepper
Not having strong extra-curriculars, my concern is getting into top 50 programs. Would love advice regarding this issue.
6) Application cycle:
Looking to apply to 4-5 in each cycle, R1 and R2. For matriculation in 2016.
7) Post-MBA goal.
Leaning towards Finance or management.
8)Personal:
Male; White
Looking to boost my extra curriculars and work experience in the next year. Again, really just unsure where I fit in as far as admissions and what schools to aim for. Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks for sharing your profile. I would say although your ECs are weak your work experience is the first thing I noticed that needed more of the work. Is all of your 30months FT work? I may be reading this wrong but it only appears that about months of your work experience is "b-school ready". Again I don't know the extent or rigor of your jobs in retail and customer service but these two roles aren' t typical feeders for MBA programs, which is fine. I just think you probably should accumulate a bit more experience in your current role because this job seems more consistent with the typical MBA applicant.
Now your ECs are also pretty light and as a young candidate the AdComm will be wondering what you have been doing with your time so I would suggest spending some additional time developing both your resume and ECs.

Thank you for the quick reply! Yes all 30 months are FT. Retail was a manager position, with a couple of promotions, nothing major though. But in other words, i really shouldn't look to do much applying for the next upcoming Round?
