Hi Aline,

Thanks for sharing your profile. You have a strong global background, which is great for the top European schools! I also like your career progression, although on the extracurricular side, see if you can take on some leadership roles. Assuming that you do well on the GMAT and you're able to craft a compelling story as to why you are pursuing an MBA, you should be a competitive candidate. If you'd like to discuss further, feel free to reach out to me at info@ivygroupe.com or https://www.ivygroupe.com/contact.

Best,
Shaifali

Hello, everyone
My name is Aline. I am 26 years old, Brazilian female.
I scheduled my first GMAt exam for July and I am planning to apply for European b-schools in September, R1.

Professional experience:
1,5 years working as a Global Mobility Coordinator at Unilever in São Paulo. I am responsible for international transfers within the Americas region. As part of my role, I participate in projects with peers from other regions (Asia, NAMETRUB, Europe and Africa) and I have daily contact with people from different cultures and nationalities as well as high-level employees (VP and Directors). I work in the Human Resources department and one of my passions is to manage people and assist them with their international career path.
Prior to that and before my masters, I worked for 4 years as a Global Mobility Analyst at Nestlé in São Paulo. I was responsible for all international transfers to Brazil and I have created a Networking community for employees and spouses and a website similar to Facebook for this population to interact through events and forums. I also supported the implementation of a Dual Career Network to provide work opportunities to partners accompanying employees who moved to Brazil. I have managed over 200 cases during these years and met people from all over the world.

Academic Experience:
I hold a masters in business administration from Insper, a local Brazilian school (final GPA 8.8/10) and I hold a bachelors degree in international relations from ESPM, also a local Brazilian school (final GPA 8.6/10). I lived six months in France as part of exchange in my master´s program. During my bachelor degree, I worked at the junior consulting firm as a Marketing Trainee, responsible for the brand strategy of the firm to build stronger relationship with students, stakeholders and teachers.

Extracurriculars:
I spent 3 months working at Walt Disney World, as Merchandise in the World of Disney store in Orlando.
I lived one month in Canada to study English, living with a canadian family.
I lived one month in London to attend a summer intensive course in LSE.
I was a professional swimmer from 12 to 17 years old, competed in state and national tournaments
I am passionate about cultural differences. I speak fluently Portuguese, English, Spanish, German and I have a working knowledge of French.
I participate in a running club and run my first 10k run.

You are in good shape for the European schools, due to your international experience and due to several unique aspects in your profile. So given strong essays and that you can convince the adcoms why their school is a good fit for you (feel free to reach out if you need any help with that, of course!), I don’t see you having any trouble getting into the top schools in Europe.

If you already have specific schools in mind, you might want to add that information as I might be able to give you some more detailed advice for those specific schools in that case.

Thanks for sharing your profile. Really amazing profile here, I like the diversity of your interests and your strong ECs. Having travelled abroad and speaking foreign languages will really help you out in the increasingly global b-school classrooms. Also having worked at top brand name firms will help out as well. Hone in on your areas of passion and make sure your past involvement in and outside of work comes through. If your GMAT is strong as well you can aim for the top programs.

Hi gigib,

You've got a great and all round profile there - most schools would love to have you on their rolls.

The unknowns at this point are your GMAT - what do you anticipate scoring on the test? Another point that stands out is the fact that you already have an MBA - although this is not a disqualifier in and by itself, you would still need to come up with a reasonable explanation for why you want another MBA.

If you can take care of the above two points, then you should have a good go at most top schools.

Best,
Karthik
