Hi
AdityaKumar75,
Thank you for your post.
Personal MBA Coach helps a number of applicants each year who come from oil and goal and broader energy industries and we can certainly talk with you about pitching yourself for the relevant post-MBA goals.
In the context of your goals, business schools have seen an increase in more applicants with an interest in sustainability. That said, you will want to think carefully about how you will make your unique mark. Visit
our blog on articulating your goals to learn more.
In terms of R1 vs R2, there is not quota for the seats in any of the rounds. That said, if you are ready, the earlier the better. You should definitely apply only when you are 100% ready, but all things being equal you are better off applying earlier in the cycle. It's not worth applying when you are even 95% of the way there though, so perfect your application and then make the decision. While the GMAT is not the be all and end all, it will benefit you to raise your score. As an Indian male applicant, differentiating yourself with a strong GRE/GMAT score will be even more important.
Essay writing and LOR support are both key components of
Personal MBA Coach's
comprehensive packages. Feel free to reach out to

3. What are the things to highlight for impactful essays and LORs
4. Applying in R2 vs R1 (if the GMAT score doesn't improve)
Do let me know in case any further inputs are needed.
Looking forward to your response and appreciate you taking time out for this.
