focusing on inventory management and sustainable and efficient supply chain models. Did 2 month assignment in Singapore, Asia Pacific headquarters working with global leaders of the company

I want to work in geographies like UK, US and Europe where focus on sustainability, carbon neutrality and clean energy is fast paced and aggressive. I want to gain more skillset other than supply chain and marketing to become a well rounded leader in this field. I will like to get connected to the right network through the college alumni working in this domain which can give me entrepreneurial mindset in this industry. To summarize, I wish to become either a corporate leader or an industry expert in the field of sustainability and I feel MBA from the right college can give me the accelerated growth required.
Advice/guidance needed :-
1. Shortlisting colleges as per my post MBA goals - factors to consider
2. What should be the ideal GMAT score for the colleges shortlisted
3. What are the things to highlight for impactful essays and LORs
4. Applying in R2 vs R1 (if the GMAT score doesn't improve)

First, I would like to say you have a good amount of relevant work experience, and your profile seems quite strong academically. You did well, scoring a 700 on your GMAT, and If you could just back a score of 730+ in your retake, you could target the top B-schools, including the famed M-7 schools. Moreover, you have a good overall GPA, and if you can back them up with substantial examples of leadership, decision-making, and analytical skills in your long tenure, it would be more than okay on your academic front.
Coming to your profile, you have described your roles and responsibilities and critical projects well and were promoted to South Asia Marketing Manager in a short span; hence, I believe you won't be short on stellar leadership examples. So, to put in your experience, I would like you to explain more about your diverse experiences, skillset developed, professional accolades (including any leadership awards ), and the impact generated during your diverse tenure. Furthermore, if you have been switching roles during your career progression, you need to give strong reasons for your timing, decision to switch, aspirations, and how it aligns with your future goals! For your reference, I suggest you go through our article on How you can justify your career switch to pursue an MBA for a career change, this would help provide insights and help you jot down the pros and cons of making a career switch. Also, you have a good amount of international experience and amazing growth in the startup, which would be greatly valued at this stage and would give you a chance to expand new horizons to start an interesting conversation with the adcom.
Coming to ECAs, you need to add some relevant volunteering and community work, and even some hobbies will do. Mention your contribution, the challenges faced, leadership roles played, the impact generated, and the relevant skills developed through your ECAs to bank upon them! Moreover, you have very well described your post-MBA goals; that's something we see very rarely! Now all you need to do is dive a little deep and link your past experiences with your post-MBA goals. There are very few people who really have clear, unique motivations behind pursuing an MBA, and you seem one among them. Next, make sure you specify how each school can help fill gaps in your profile and lead you to your life goals. For schools, you can target schools even like Stanford and Wharton, and for your safe list, you could add Kellogg, Booth, and CBS.
Overall you have a competitive profile and a good chance at and a good chance at any top B-school if you apply early. So, I suggest you apply for round 1 instead of waiting for round 2 deadlines. Now, as you belong to the petrochemical industry, Columbia (CBS) would be a good choice for you. Moreover, since recently we have helped an applicant get into Columbia, and she was also from Oil & gas, we could help you to build a strong profile aligned with the school values as I see much potential in your profile. I will like to get connected to the right network through the college alumni working in this domain which can give me entrepreneurial mindset in this industry. To summarize, I wish to become either a corporate leader or an industry expert in the field of sustainability and I feel MBA from the right college can give me the accelerated growth required.

1. Shortlisting colleges as per my post MBA goals - factors to consider
2. What should be the ideal GMAT score for the colleges shortlisted
3. What are the things to highlight for impactful essays and LORs
4. Applying in R2 vs R1 (if the GMAT score doesn't improve)
