Hi, Eric! There's a lot to like in your profile - what looks like solid work experience, excellent community service and extracurriculars, and a thoughtful approach to your goals. These are all important factors in your candidacy. I do think your GMAT is worth a retake, however, because of the schools on your list. Harvard and Stanford attract many strong applicants, and while they will consider many factors, not just your GMAT, you'll want to bring your best to maximize your chances of success. A higher GMAT won't guarantee admission by any means, but every factor helps, so try to strengthen it now while you have time before the application process really revs up. I'd also look at broadening your list to include schools where your score is at or above the average. Duke's a great call, and I'd add some other options as well, maybe Darden as a start because of its strong pipeline into consulting....but which way to go might depend on your other criteria, so feel free to call one of us for a consultation if you need help expanding your list!
Best of luck!
