Hey Guys,
I took a Veritas Prep Mock test. I got a 690 but I am having difficulty understanding my score.
I got Q-50 with 13 wrong. Is that possible???
Hi. That’s a good score. Ultimately the score depends on how many hard questions you answer correctly. There is no correlation between the number of wrong questions and the final score however since the CAT is adaptive and since there are experimental questions that do not count towards the score.
Each prep company has their own algorithm and if you answered enough hard questions it is quite possible to get a high score while if you were taking gmat prep tests 3,4,5, or 6 you would need to get quite a few more. Funny enough someone complained they only got V44 with 2 wrong. Seems there is no way to please everyone
We have run tests and we’re able to achieve Q50 with 10 wrong on GMAT Prep’s tests 1 & 2. So while 13 seems high, it is possible if the question bank is mostly harder questions. In general I have not heard of people complaining of their Veritas CAT scores being off.
PS. You can of course check with gmat prep if you wish. But congrats meanwhile.
