Sorry if these are dumb questions
This is my 1st time hearing about this. Looking at the website there is three main essays. The mission essay , a core essay and then an optional core essay
When I click the link for the individual schools on the left there is also essay questions in there for each school. Are we to write those essays as well?

The consortium essays that are mandatory have to be completed, along with any mandatory school essays. The good thing is that all of the schools see the Consortium essays (mandatory and optional - but not including the personal statement and consortium recommender). So I used the Consortium optional essay to address any general weaknesses, but the school specific optional essays to further illustrate or highlight additional points. I thought this was a good strategy to give the schools as much information about me without being too repetitive.
