admitStreet is correct in his or her line of questioning. We would need a ton more information to be of more help.

However, at a high level, to answer your question: not at all. There's plenty of time to apply for Round 2. Of course, it depends on factors such as the number of schools you are targeting, the degree of overlap between essay questions of the schools on your list, etc.

More importantly, it's critical that you line up your recommenders. While you may be in a position to put together your applications around the clock, your recommenders will need time and guidance to meet the deadlines.

If you need a consultant to organize a plan of action for you, please reach out to us. Our team is incredibly well-organized and happy to be of assistance:

Round 2 deadlines are generally in January, so it is still not too late to apply for R2. However, you must work quickly to get your applications in on time. Here is a timeline for applying to R2:

November:
1. Start researching schools and gathering information about their application requirements.
2. Start writing your essays and letters of recommendation.

December:
1. Complete your applications and submit them to the schools you are interested in.

As for how many schools you should apply to, it is generally recommended that you apply to 6-10 schools. This will give you a good chance of getting into at least one school, while still being manageable in terms of the time and effort required to apply.

Focus on schools that have a rolling admissions process. This will give you more flexibility with the deadlines. Make sure your applications are polished and professional. This will give you the best chance of making a good impression on the admissions committee.

I recommend reaching out to our profile experts to gain more personalized insights into your chances of admission in R2. We match you with the students and alums of top B-Schools according to your background and target schools. In this call, the experts will try to dig out your USP for top B-schools and provide you with honest feedback on your profile and chances to your target schools.

Feel free to schedule a free profile evaluation call with us to discuss your profile better and give a fair evaluation of your chances of admission to top Business schools.
