With the introduction of the more advanced User Profile functionality, we can now do some very creative number crunching, such as in this case, find out which schools are most competitive this year at GMAT Club (most applicants per seat available). We know this statistics from previous years and sites such as US News but for this year, it is a peek behind the curtain!
A Grain of Salt - this is the first time we are doing this in real time. We have several threads that created rankings based on Number of Posts/Replies - 2008/2009/2011. Also, we have calculated the number of GMAT club members admitted and where they have gone and found that up to 20% of some school's classes are comprised of GMAT Club members (Ross). However, the biggest factor right now will be the timing of the deadlines as we see an influx of applicants around the deadlines and especially around the dates decisions are released....
