Hi,

I recently took the GMAT and I'm not sure if I should retake it.

Here's my profile:
GMAT Score:
4th (most recent attempt) - 700 Q48 V37
Integrated Reasoning: 2 - I didn't do well in this section. Ended up with 4, 5 and 6 in previous attempts.

Here's my profile:
Industry: IT
-5 years of work experience as a Software Engineer (at a Tech & Consumer goods company)
-2 years as Lead Developer/Analyst on Supply Chain and Finance Assets
-B.E from an Indian University (not sure how to convert the percentage to a 4.0 GPA scale)
Activities at work - part of Women's Leadership Forum and co-lead on a Social Engagement Committee
Outside of work - volunteer at a Food bank and a library

I hope to apply to Duke and NYU.
Are Booth, Columbia and Yale SOM out of reach?
Should I retake the GMAT and if I do, will a 5th attempt look bad?

I don't think a 5th attempt will look bad but if you retake make sure you have a solid chance to make a material improvement. I think getting in the 720/730 range would help you with the CBS/Booth level of schools. If you put together a good application with strong essays and a clearly demonstrated fit Duke/NYU should be in play
