Hi there, it would be great to get a realistic evaluation of my profile for the top US MBA programs. Would you recommend to retake the GMAT and apply in R3 instead or rather giving it a try with the current score? (No more test possible before deadline for R2)
I am a MBB sponsored applicant, so scholarships are either not possible or not a priority at least.
Demographics: 27 years old, male, German
Academics: Business Informatics - Bachelor (3.4 converted GPA), Finance/Data Science - Master (3.8 converted GPA)
GMAT 680 (Q48, V34, IR8, AWA6) -> my probably biggest weakness as I ruined it with verbal (no more time for another attempt for round 2).
Work experience: >5 years for a large US tech company in various roles, parallel to my university degrees. Currently, MBB consultant with digital focus across wide variety of industries (will be 2 years at the beginning of the MBA)
International experience: Semester abroad in the US (smaller university in California) + 3.5 months internship in other European country
Extracurricular: Member of a global diversity board at former employer, voluntary licensed referee for youth and children teams in popular sport, team captain and treasurer of sports team (+ some voluntary roles in Highschool and college)
My dream is still to get into the absolute top schools in the US and I also consider LBS and Oxford/Said. I am fully aware that my GMAT score is far from ideal. Would be great to get your expert view on this.
Many thanks!
