Hello,
I am a prospective MBA candidate interested in applying to ISB and LBS by their Round 2 deadlines. I am hoping to get some advice and assistance, especially from MBA consultants on how to best fit my professional experience within 1 page.
I have very recently taken up a new role in a new organization, where I am still undergoing onboarding and training. Therefore, is it acceptable or recommended to leave this most recent experience off the resume, given that I have barely done anything in my new place of employment yet? Or will this confuse the admissions committee? I do plan to mention it within the "Employment History" section in the applications. For context, it would have been less than a month of new employment by the time I submit my ISB application.
Furthermore, I had a career gap for a 4 month period this summer. The reason for this was that I was planning to start attending business school this Fall, but personal circumstances caused me to delay my plans by at least a year. Will this career gap be a cause for concern? ISB does not provide any optional essay space to explain these personal circumstances. Thus, I am concerned that a 4 month gap in the resume, along with potentially leaving out my current (new) employment, would not be appreciated by the admissions team.
