Most b-school applications asks for listing 3 activities and 3 awards. Should we remove the activities/awards we list in the application from our resume or keep it there?

It's generally recommended to avoid significant overlap between your MBA application and your resume.
Here's why:
Redundancy: Listing the same activities and awards on both documents can make your application appear repetitive and less impactful.
Focus: The MBA application focuses on specific aspects of your profile that are most relevant to the program. The resume provides a broader overview of your professional and academic experience.
Complementary Information: The application allows you to delve deeper into specific experiences and their impact, while the resume provides a concise overview of your qualifications.
Your resume should focus on your professional experience, academic achievements, and key skills.
In your Application Select 3-5 most impactful activities and awards. Choose those that best demonstrate your leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and other skills valued by business schools.
In the application provide detailed descriptions, and elaborate on the activities and awards you selected. Explain the impact you made, the skills you developed, and how these experiences have shaped you.

You should keep significant activities and awards in your resume as it provides a concise, one-page overview of your achievements but ensure it adds value by including context, impact, and metrics not covered in the application forms. Tailor your resume to highlight professional accomplishments, while the application can provide more detail on extracurriculars and awards. Good luck!
