I am admitted into an M7 school but I have a tricky situation here. I wonder if any of you have advice for me. I entered the information about one of my research experiences under the employment section in the app. I initially received $2,000 for my research project (a two-semester commitment). However, I did not finish the research program and chose to exit when I was halfway through (I had some other professional commitments to prioritize). As a result, the school took back a portion of the scholarship as an "over-award." Basically, I should have double-checked and entered $1000, rather than $2000 (even though this was the amount of money that I received in the beginning). The good thing is that I did put down the correct starting and ending dates of that experience. However, I still feel this issue is going to raise a red flag. Should I reach out to the school and let them know my oversight? I am not sure if this is a serious issue that could bring more issues.
Hey - Thoughts from your fellow applicant
Adcoms typically spend 15-20mins reviewing it and as per my research with if Revera doesn't / cannot check the numbers i guess
Imagine we often quantify the cost savings or the $ values in our work experience. The validity of these numbers is never questioned
Having said that i do acknowledge that scholarship and the above are not true comparables but i wouldn't reach out to the school and divert attention to something that might just be something trivial from their standpoint
Don't take my advice as the final one, i am just a fellow applicant and you should have been a bit careful with this while filling it out
