Hi Admission Consultants!
I would really appreciate if someone can give me some suggestions in terms of my next steps...
Profile:
GMAT: 730
GPA: 3.84
WE: will be 3 years by 2018
Industry: finance/software
I applied to HSW, Kellogg, Booth, Haas, LBS, and MIT in my Round 1 and have been dinged by H&W, Booth, and MIT. Still waiting to hear from GSB and Haas but I'm not very hopeful. Had my interview with LBS and Kellogg.
I'm not entirely sure what schools I should apply to in my round 2 other than CBS (my CBS app is half done since I was originally going for ED but decided to go with RD instead). My post-mba career goal is to work in marketing/retail and I want to do my MBA in an urban city so don't really want to apply to schools like Darden/Ross/Tuck/Yale.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You’ve already applied to many top-tier schools. The simplest way – and you know it – is to just move further down the list and see which qualify your criteria. Having said that, landing sales, marketing jobs isn’t easy for international students (if you’re one).

Thank you for your post and I am sorry things didn't work out the first time around. I have a few thoughts:
- You are early in your career. Why are you applying now vs waiting? Most in your space would wait at least another year.
- What is your demographic information? That is missing and is important
- What school did you go to?
- Company?
- GMAT quant score?
Essentially I would need more and a full resume before helping. CBS may not be the best one to target as they accept a lot of folks early in the process (our clients have been getting in since June!) so they only have so many spots left. Darden and Ross should be better though. Good luck!
