Hi
Admissionado,
I am really struggling with deciding which stage I should apply to Said. While I am definitely very interested in Said and want to give myself the best possible shot at getting in AND getting a scholarship, if I apply for their Stage 2 (October 30th) deadline, I'll get an answer before my applications are even in to the US schools I'm considering, which means I would have to make a decision without knowing what my other options are.
I'm trying to understand how much a difference Stage 2 versus Stage 3 would make?
For background, my profile (which I've posted previously for evaluation) is:
GMAT: 710 (V42, Q45, 6 AWA, 5 IR) and 670 (V44, Q37, 6AWA, 7 IR). Considering taking an intensive quant course and re-taking the GMAT in November for the later applications.
Work experience: 7 years in international development and corporate social responsibility, with regular promotions, currently managing a team of 17 across 5 countries.
Extracurriculars: Undergraduate: Delta Phi Epsilon Professional Foreign Service Sorority (Community Service Chair). Post-Bachelor's: Ragnar running relay team captain 2016 & 2017, court appointed special advocate (for foster children) 2014, co-host a women's discussion club, finance working group at my job and part time research assistant on topics related to rescue amid atrocities including sexual violence.
Post-MBA goals: Sustainable and socially responsible business practices
Target Schools: Oxford 1+1, Duke dual MBA/MEM, Yale dual MBA/MSc, Stanford, Harvard
Education: George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs, GPA 3.48. Did poorly in econ. Re-took macroeconomics earlier this year at a local community college and got an A. Took a graduate level course in undergrad and got an A.
Demographics: US citizen and resident, female, white.
Thank you!
