Hello Guys,
I am a final year undergraduate college student and am applying to Kellogg for the Future leaders Program(2+2). Due to the Covid situation they've decided to waiver the GMAT requirements but still provided us with the option to mention the score for consideration. They also asked us to mention if we plan to retake the test in the additional information section. Unfortunately I have scored very low in my GMAT. My score is 680(Q-48,V-35,IR-4, AWA-5) and plan to retake the test as soon as possible. I have been advised to mention this score and my plan to retake the test, but I am worried whether the low score with have a negative impact on my application. Can someone please suggest me what would be the wise thing to do?

Hi Chinmay1998! You have two options:

1.Retake the GMAT soon and hope to get a higher score because a 680 is perhaps on the lower side for Kellogg

2.Mention the current score but be sure to have a good story to back up your low score or showcase other areas to offset this score in your application – this can be through academic performance or high analytical work done professionally or any certification you may have acquired to demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills – even thought leaderships/ blogs/ articles may help offset your verbal score

Hello,
I have retaken GMAT and scored 720(Q-49,V-38, IR-6, AWA-5). I have e-mailed my new score report to Kellogg adcom and they have acknowledged the same. Unfortunately, I recieved a mail today saying that I have not been shortlisted for the interview yet but the adcom is going through all the applications once again and selecting a few more students. So there are still some chances of getting a positive response. Let's hope for the best.
