Cover Letter Please prepare a cover letter (up to 500 words) seeking a place in the MIT Sloan MBA program. Your letter should describe your accomplishments, address any extenuating circumstances that may apply to your application, and conform to standard business correspondence. Resume Please prepare a business resume that includes your employment history in reverse chronological order, with titles, dates, and whether you worked part-time or full-time. Essays We are interested in learning more about how you work, think, and act. For each essay, please provide a brief overview of the situation followed by a detailed description of your response. Essay 1: Please describe a time when you had to convince a person or a group of your idea. Could you please tell me where you guys find out the result?

WL, at least they tell me there are going to be about 100-200 people on it.. I guess the line isn't that long to get in, so be optimistic everyone.. I respect MIT for its straight-forward approach to the admissions process and really have no gripes with them. The interview was friendly as were their students and adcom. To anyone who got in, you're going to a hell of a school. For me, I think this is the final straw and that this points me in the direction of Cornell. By the time MIT gets back to me I will already have thrown multiple thousands towards a deposit, and it would be tough to turn back. What a crappy process admissions are in general, glad its over with.

I am in!! Got the call an hour ago, but was stuck in a meeting, so I couldn't post earlier.

Waitlisted here as well. This was a bit anticlimactic considering it was the last decision of mine to come out by a number of weeks. But definitely, congratulations to all of you who got in! 100-200 people on the waitlist for a total of fewer than 400 spots in the class actually seems like a long line, doesn't it? Or is my perspective completely skewed?

Anyone else who got a call still waiting on a status update and details. I was in work and couldn't talk when I got the call.

So I get the email telling me the decision is available online - I go in expecting the ding/WL and strangely enough there's the letter telling me I'm in. I was expecting a call Sloan - call me later maybe? Not that it matters
