So what if our application still says "COMPLETE AND BEING EVALUATED"? No email, checked my spam folder. Kind of on a roller coaster here between the original "deadline" of the 8th, then today.

with more interview invites going out today... I feel like another low blow ...only consolation is being waitlisted.... but given the past record...waitlist without interview is as good as a ding.....we are at the bottom of the heap just not out of it yet....for those who applied to B Schools last year and are doing so again.... what happens if you get accepted into another one R1 but by chance you do get into Sloan in July or whenever...can you accept one university and then drop out later on??

Anyone here with info on R1 WaitList to Interview to Accept Probability?

Last year a few people got off the waitlist, so there usually is some movement. But I think it really varies from year to year, so there isn't really a way to know.

To give you some hope, I know one person last year who was waitlisted without interview, but then got off the waitlist, interviewed and was accepted. I don't know how common this is though.

For your other question, yes, you can pull out of a school to go to another school, but you lose your deposit(s) that you have paid to the first school.

Ward thanks...do you know approx what is the deposit amount? is it a fixed fee or a % of tuition or something like that

It's a fixed fee, and the amount is different with each school. Some schools have the deposit amounts on their website. For example, here are the deposits that Tuck requires in order to matriculate. https://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/admission ... tant-dates

Dinged. Saw it coming; feels slightly less sad. A bit scared though - rehashed my Sloan essays for other schools. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Good luck for the ivs and the waitlist guys.

For those who were waitlisted - when submitting the form to be added to the waitlist, did you receive a confirmation email? I know once you submit the form, the next page confirms that you're on the waitlist. I'm just wondering if there's another way to confirm because the status on my application didn't change. I'm also worried because the link to add yourself to the waitlist was a general link (seems like anyone could access it), and you could submit the form more than once (I did just to see what would happen).

No confirmation email. Just a confirmation on the webpage after submit webpage.

I've created a Sloan waitlist thread for this year and added those of you who have posted about your waitlist status. We can now conduct our waitlist discussions here: sloan-mit-class-of-2016-calling-all-waitlisted-applicants-163299.html

Please post in the thread / PM me to be added to the list.

Edit: I have also added users who did not post here, but have a waitlisted status. If you haven't already done so, please update your status so our metrics are accurate!

Does any guy know that if you can get MBA degree in Sloan with MBA degree? I just asked this question for my friend. She got her MBA degree in another university 6 years ago.

Yeah. That's how the waitlist website worked last year too. I can understand why it's a little disconcerting.

Do you mean if your degree will be issued by MIT/Sloan? If so, certainly, the MBA will be stamped by MIT.
