Did anyone's interviewer actually ask them to send a follow up message to Rebecca Honohan including anything that they felt they wanted to include or say that they didn't during the interview?

Mine did...:-S No idea if that's a good or a bad thing.

Whoa... that's the first I've heard of it... when did your interviewer ask you this? During the interview or after?

Either way, sounds like a good sign.

Right as it was coming to an end, he told me to send it to her and he would be able to see it. So I did. I also sent him a personal thank you separate from my supplemental note, which he deftly ignored.

To add to my thorough confusion, I just got an email from the Legatum Fellowship at MIT. It says that i do not need to have received a decision on my application before applying. Did anyone else receive this?

I received that email about the Fellowship, but I think that everyone has received the email. Not sure how to interpret your situation regarding the follow-up note - if your interviewer was Rod Garcia, that would make sense if he doesn't read through follow-up notes and he wants you to send it to Rebecca. If your interviewer was anyone else, that's kind of odd.

To be fair, in the email I received from Rebecca Honohan (where she thanked us for interviewing), she did ask to send her any additional information we had for them or any updates we want to send to them. I believe your interviewer might have just been trying to convey that message.

Yep, I got the Legatum Fellowship email too. It looks like a circular sent to everyone.

I would not read too much into the follow up suggestion from your interviewer. If you sent something, great! If not, I doubt that there is anything that you (we) can do at this stage to help our application.

Three more days to find out the decision then...

My interviewer did not ask, but I did follow up with the admissions office with a thank you note. I think it makes common sense..

However, did not get an email on Legatum.

Few more days to go!!

Do we know if Sloan calls accepted students the day before or day of the official notification date?

From what i've seen from last year, they tried to call but there were plenty of admits who saw their online decision prior to their calls. That caused a lot of anxiety.

I'm hoping they just release it all at once...

Got the Legatum e-mail as well. My heart fell down at that moment. One day and a half left. I just couldn't concentrate on anything and could think of anything else, but the deadline and the decision... It's killing me. :)

Looks like calls started last year on decision day around 2:30 pm EST. They don't get to call everyone and the details are available online by 5 p.m EST.

Sloan is my personal best fit so I hope we get to hear some good news on Friday and make everyone's holiday season that much merrier. Good luck all :)

According to the last email we received, we will get the decision after 5PM through our applyyourself accounts. I wonder if they will call a couple of candidates earlier in the afternoon as they used to do last year. Anyway, I have the feeling it will be a very stressing day...
