(n-1)(n)(n+1) are 3 consecutives ,

24 = 2^3*3

from 1

if n is not dev by 2 thus

n-1, n+1 are even ( 2,3,4) ( 4,5,6) (6,7,8)

8/24 r = 8 , r = 0 , r = 2

from 2

(1,2,3) ( 3,4,5) 0r ( 4,5,6)

r = 4 or 15 or 0 insuff

both together

(4,5,6) and 6,7,8 sutisfies 1,2 however yeild r = 0

I think you misread the problem Yezz. There is no "n" in the question.

(n^2 -1) = 24x + R

1. n is not divisible by 2
N is odd

To satisfy the equation, n should be atleast 5 with R = 0
n = 5 -> R = 0
n = 7 -> R = 0
n = 9 -> R = 8
Not Sufficient

2. n is not divisible by 3
N is not 3,6,9,12...

To satisfy the equation, n should be atleast 5 with R = 0
n = 5 -> R = 0
n = 7 -> R = 0
n = 8 -> R = 15
Not Sufficient

Together:
Intersection of {5,7,9,11,13,15,17...} and {5,7,8,10,11,13,17....}
{5,7,11,13,17......}

With each integer, R = 0
