A friend of mine called admissions and asked if he could still expect R3 invitations and the answer was " We are not optimistic on that possibility " - One of you could try for a confirmation too !

That sums it up then..I dont think we are getting any invites. Surprising that no gmatclubber managed to get one..

Btw..does anyone know anyone else in any other forum who has claimed to receive an interview invite?

I havent come across one .. But I have noticed that even last year there arent many who reported for R3 ..

Considering they sent out emails about how people do get admitted in round 3 yada, yada, yada, I was hoping they'd be a wee bit more communicative... fail...

Still no one has heard from Stanford. 6% of applicants are successful in total - I wonder what that percentage is in round 3? Any takers?

Nope, I check my e mail compulsively (more so than normal!) but nothing yet. I believe tomorrow is the so called 'last day' interview invites could be sent out. I read somewhere on Stanford's website that they invite a week after the application deadline and a week before the decision deadline. I wouldn't be surprised if the acceptance rate for R3 was 3% =s.

I actually motivated myself to apply after that email. I was otherwise planning to apply for R1 of next year. Now I'll have a tough time explaining the 'what has changed' part if I apply for R1 next year..
