Called adcom number and pressed 4. It clearly said through Dec 12

There is no way they do it thought D day. They also say if you don't reply they will call you in 3 days. The latest I have heard of people getting invites ever is 3 days before unless its some complete 1 off situation which has happened before

Regardless, you'll hear something by December 12 -- guys, that's only 2 weeks away!! You can make it until then!

Interviewed with the alum today. He did not spend any time asking about my background, dived straight into the behavioral questions. 4-5 questions covered in 40 mins. Talk about a time when you - 1) Displayed initiative 2) Changed strategy of team 3) Had a difficult team member and a couple others I don't remember very clearly .. Then 20 mins devoted to questions I had for him. He was impressive in a quiet way and seemed like a really genuine, no-nonsense person.

My only advice to other members is - Practise talking aloud, to yourself in the mirror if no one else! You already know your stories, so the content is not difficult .. you just need to be comfortable talking. Definitely helped me not 'jam up' during the actual thing. I am happy to be a sounding board if anyone wants to use me! I know it is sometimes easier talking to a stranger than to people you are close to, especially if you are uncomfortable 'selling yourself'

seems it went through interational first and then mainly US now, but Europe was all the way quiet, unless people are not active enough:(((

I am hanging the gloves on Stanford. Hopefully other schools come through. For some reason I always thought that HBS was harder to get in than Stanford. I know Stanford has a lower acceptance rate but i just thought it was due to small size more than anything.

What makes you say that Stanford is harder than HBS?

I don't think you can compare response rates from candidates between the two schools because they conduct the application process very differently.

Well, maybe that Stanford accepts half the percentage that Harvard does and still maintains a higher GPA and GMAT.....Easy enough.

What awards have you earned/received since college? You should focus on crafting your own story in Stanford's (or any school's) application.

Also, I don't think anybody would have stats on awards/honors that Indian applicants report; neither would have we have that information for any other nationality's applicants.

Ah - okay. I thought you were saying this based only on response rates in the forum, which didn't quite add up for me. Agree on actual stats but I still wonder if that has to do with smaller class size. In either case - both are fantastic schools.
