Hi,
When does the application deadline usually start for Reliance Fellowship 2012? Am planning to apply to Stan in sept. 2012 and looking into it.
I'm guessing the deadline will remain the same - July 1. The details are usually announced in April.

Any idea whether the "need" is an important consideration?

Has this scholarship been cancelled or is it just closed for now? the website (https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/mba/financi ... ships.html) gives the impression that it isn't being offered anymore.

Was under the impression that the application opens sometime in January each year...

Hello,

Just ran into this scholarship......what are the requirements for being eligible to apply for this scholarship? I am an Indian and since my graduation, have been working in Dubai for the last 3.5 years. Can someone who has appleid to GSB in R2 also apply to the scholarship?? Can some one pitch in and clarify?

I am from the oil and gas industry and would love to go back and join the reliance energy in GM roles post MBA.

No requirements per se. You just have to be willing to work in India post grad and not go rollicking off into the American Corporate lifestyle :)

My long term palns are definitely to come back to India. Can NRI's apply for the scholarship? I did all my studying in India, but have been working in Dubai ever since.

No the Fellowship is closed for the year. It closes in June before the application season begins every year. And I dont think it "helps" you get anywhere. If someone without a fellowship is a more qualified ( according to the adcom) applicant, they would have no qualms about going for him.

That said, a handful of reliance fellows DO get in every year and since it is a very selective award, it serves as a good "signalling" for the admission committee. Gives you a leg up but its no great help to get you in. Most of the guys who get in with the fellowshsip would have done just fine even without it.

It's May and the page still says "At this time, we are no longer accepting applications for future Reliance Dhirubhai fellowships."

Anyone have news/thoughts about this?

Hey bb

The 'Apply for the Fellowship' link mentioned on the page isn't working even though the page mentions the online application availability dates as 24 April 2017 to 07 June 2017. Will you check as well and confirm? Also, do you have any clue as to why this might be happening? Should I write to Stanford?
