Is the list out? I remember it was mentioned that result will be posted in your account but I cannot see any login links on the scholarship page.

I received an email saying the results are out. But I cannot see any link in the online application.

I cannot see the result either. There is no link as mentioned in the email.

Ditto. I received an email but cannot view the decision. Have written to them.

Yup..ditto for me too..I suppose we have to wait till 1st July 5pm Pacific time.

In the meanwhile, how about we share our profiles. Let me start this off:

I have 2 years WorkEx at one of the top B-School recruiters in the field of IT Risk Management. I am an engineer from a top 20 private engineering college in India.

Past glories include 99pl (CAT), 100pl (XAT) and a 740 (Q-50,V-40) in GMAT. I have average extra currics and hence I am unsure of my chances. An additional bummer is that past fellows have mostly been IITians or BITSians

Wow..You have a fantastic profile..730, Military, UN, Social entrepreneurship - This checks most of the boxes! I'm fairly certain that you will AT LEAST get shortlisted..Where did u graduate from? Also, how many years work ex do you have?

ya same. I guess they selected 65. Am sure the weightage was more on IIT'ians.

Dinged, guess they took all IIT and BITSians again this year. Wonder why they are not disclosing the list of people who were accepted??

The take on this scholarship I have heard from my Indian friends is that this is going to a pretty corrupt program and they were surprised Stanford agreed to it. This is a way to get kids of the politically and business connected a leg up with getting into Stanford. I don't know if that is how it will end up working, but that is how a lot of people talked about it.

Not applying to Stanford or this scholorship and don't work for Reliance but I am pretty sure the $ is not going to a 'corrupt program' as your friends put it.

The politically connected and those from business backgrounds will not require a scholarship to attend Stanford or any other U.S. program for that matter. The 'rich' I can tell you are uber rich in India and if you are well connected will not need this scholarship. Not sure how much weightage getting a schol. has on admission chances - most schools will probably say there is no relationship.

Stanford would have done its own due diligence before getting into this pact with Reliance. According to wikiped., Mukesh Ambani dropped out of Stanford in 1980 after completing 1 year to join his dads business. He probably instituted this schol. to continue his association with the school.

Please try looking at past admits to this fellowship. None of them are well connected, at least on the face of it. It's debatable how badly they needed the scholarship considering how quick the payback tends to be after a Stanford MBA but I certainly don't think the integrity of this program is questionable.

btw.. I am one of the candidates on the shortlist and I have a very average profile. Forget IIT/BITS etc. I'm not even an engineer.

When does the application deadline usually start for Reliance Fellowship 2012? Am planning to apply to Stan in sept. 2012 and looking into it.
