Did anyone chose to interview during the Stern Women in Spot Light week where they will also have the Women in Business conference on Friday 2/8?
I responded back in December as soon as received the invite, but haven't heard from them since regarding a detailed schedule/agenda.

I signed up for an interview + Mock class option. Anyone going there on Feb. 7&8 too?
I am based in California and will fly in redeye on Feb. 7.

I haven't received an update yet but just checked and got the Waitlist offer! I know some would take this as a downfall but I look at this as a positive for my process and am going to do my best to get off the waitlist and get in!

Congrats! I love the positive attitude and totally agree with you - WL is much better than a ding! I can't imagine how anxiously you've been waiting for a response for the last 2+ months. I interviewed just last week and have been checking my inbox constantly ever since.

Since @zaffro & @Dakells were so helpful with interview advice, here's my own interview recap. I'll first echo what they said before as well as what's featured on ClearAdmit -- there's good advice/information there! For me, my time felt like a cross between a conversation and a job interview -- probably because it was with an adcom member instead of a current student, but there was still a friendly vibe nonetheless.

Questions I remember...
-Walk me through your resume
-Questions on my roles, why I made the transitions I did, etc
-Constructive criticism I received
-Why MBA, Why Stern

Hello everyone,

I have my NYU Stern interview next Tuesday, February 12th. Is anyone else in the area who would like to meet up on Monday the 11th?

Also, I'd love to sit in on a class or have lunch with a current student, but there are no slots available while I'm in town. Has anyone else had success showing up at the admissions office and asking to sit in on a class, or just walking into the class?

I'll echo what Aerien said. The questions I got were pretty similar. They also asked about back-up plans if an MBA doesn't work out. Also, if you mentioned a specific industry in your essays, be able to talk about companies in that industry you would want to work for.

I sat in on a class in the fall. They definitely took some people into class who were there waiting to see if a class opened up (there were people "on call.")

You might want to check if they're even allowing prospective students to sit in on classes yet as current students just returned from winter break this week and many schools don't allow visitors when classes are just starting up again.

I had the same problem since I interviewed in January, so there were no class visits or lunches scheduled at all. I plan on going back to campus sometime in the next month or so to try to get the whole experience.

I thought I would share. Just received an interview invite. It is actually an invite to have a regular interview or interview during diversity weekend in late Feb (I'm Hispanic). I submitted right at the R2 deadline, Jan 15th. Relieved to have something in the works!

Hey everyone,
I got an interview invite today on 7th Feb. So those who haven't , keep your chin up! Its just round the corner.
Submitted - 26th Nov
Application received mail - 3rd Dec.

I am planning to request for an offsite interview. I will not be able to travel to NY from asia in the next couple of weeks.

Any ideas of the cons of an offsite interview ?
