OMG - I just got an invite!! I thought I would not get it after I visited Stern's marketing conf and talk to people and learned what kind of essays they wrote! Though my application essays were really weak in comparison, but just got an invite! I'm so excited! This is the first invite after being dinged at CBS and Wharton without an interview! Just for stats - I am white eastern european female, 28 years old, I've been working in accounting/fin analysis/audit at a lard manufacturing company for 4 years. Had two majors from the regular american state university (not ivy or anything like that). Hopefully my stat will give some hope to some of you who has similar stats. I am the same, dinged at CBD, SGB, and Wharton, accounting, finance, 28, with weak essay, but male ))) And just got an invitation.
How's your interview? Can your share some thoughts? What questions did they ask?

Yeah, I just had my interview yesterday. To be honest I am not sure how it went. Even though my interviewer was very nice, I was very nervous and my hands were shaking lol Hopefully it was not too bad (you never know how it really went). Just keeping my fingers crossed. The questions were standard - nothing unexpected - you can find a lot of them online. Good luck with your interview!

I would assume you should talk about checking out the clubs you are interested in joining so that you can immediately link up with likeminded individuals. Additionally, you could probably talk about utilizing the Office of Career Development right away to take advantage of the vast alumni network to start reaching out to people currently in the career field that you are interested in.

Hy guys!
Answering the interview question "What other schools did you apply to? How would you decide where to attend?" do you think it is safe to mention a scholarship as a factor of choosing a business school? I mean i am not sure if i will have enough money if i get admitted, so maybe it's worth mentioning that... And overall, what do you think about mentioning about scholarship on the interview? Isn't it to sign a death warrant? )))

In case you're wondering, NYU is apparently closed on Jan 2nd and 3rd in light of the snow storm hitting the East Coast. So it seems we'll have to wait a few more days. :/ I'm crossing my fingers for good news next week!

yes, Round 1, interviewed on Dec. 5th or 6th, I acutally felt quite good about the interview. I guess it is not because of the interview but of other factors, my age. I am too old for MBA.
