Tahboob Corporation manufactures only two models of kitchens, model A and model B. The selling price of model A is $1600, which is 40 percent of the selling price of model B. If the manufacturer sells 250 kitchens, 3/5 of which are model B, what is the total revenue from the sale of kitchens?

A. $350,000
B. $500,000
C. $600,000
D. $640,000
E. $760,000

They sell only two models of kitchen - Model A and Model B .

Selling Price of Model A = $1600 = 40%*(selling price of model B)

Selling Price of Model B = (100*$1600) / 40 = $4000.

Total kitchens sold = 250.

Number of model B kitchens = (3/5)* 250 = 150

Number of model A kitchens = 250 - 150 = 100

Revenue of model B kitchen = 150* $4000 = $ 600000

Revenue of model A kitchen = 100 * $1600 = $ 160000

Total Revenue = $ 600000 + $ 160000 = $ 760000.

SP of A=1600 =40% of SP of B
SP of B= 1600/0.40=4,000

Quantity of B=250*3/5=150
Quantity of A= 250*2/5=100

Total Revenue = 100*1600+150*4000=7,60,000

Answer: E

Given kitchen model A is 1600 which is 40% of B
Hence kitchen model B is 4000

Given manufacturer sells 250 items in which 3/5 are are model B. Hence revenue from model B is 4000x150 = 600000
Revenue from 100 items of model A is 100 x 1600 = 160000

total revenue = 760000 Option E
