Quad JKLM have equal length...It could be rhombus or square.

(1) JK =2
If square, diagonal JL could be found out .
If rhombus, it's not possible to found .
Insuff.
(2) KM = 2,
If square, diagonal JL =2.
If rhombus, not possible to find out. Insuff.

(1) + (2),
Quad JKLM is rhombus. diagonal JL could be found out.

Answer : C

(1) JK = 2
(2) KM = 2

Both diagonal should be equal
KM=JL=2

Statement 1 : side =2 , Does not specify if the fig is a square or rhombus
statement 2 : diagonal =2, diagonals need not be equal incase of a rhombus

St1 & st 2 : Clearly shows that the figure is not a square but a rhombus , hence the give one diagonal the other diagonal of the rhombus can be found.

not correct..
for 2 statement the figure cn be square and a rhombus too..but we don't know what the actual figure is.We need more info.
1st stamens along with 2nd provides us req info that given figure is a rhombus(coz in a sq diagonal and side can't be equal)

so ans is C

Property of a Rhombus: the diagonals bisect each other at 90 deg but are not equal.
We dont know before hand if it is a sqr or rhombus.
Stmt1: gives the sides of the figure. but nothing about diagonal.
Stmt2: gives one of the diagonal. This in itself is not sufficient.

Combining 1 and 2, we have right angled triangle whose 2 sides are known to us. We can find the 3rd side. Hence Sufficient.
