In B, I don't get how is "Have" singular ?

Nidzo
(A) The school’s having added art courses has benefited its
Correct. The possessive "school's" links with the "having added". A possessive noun is usually followed by another noun, and seeing "having" after "school's" seems wrong, but the action of "having added" in this case functions like a noun.

(B) Adding art courses have benefited the school’s
'[color=#f26c4f]have' is singular while 'students' is plural

(C) When the school is adding courses in art benefiting its
Sentence makes no sense. Incorrect use of tense too.

(D) Adding art courses, benefits have come to the school’s
Sentence makes no sense.

(E) The courses in art added by the school has benefited its
Firstly, sentence is in passive voice. Secondly, 'has' is singular while 'students' is plural

Hi MartyTargetTestPrep

This question is from TTP Missions, I have a quick question regarding the choice A;
Is it ok for that "its" to refer back to school? I guess it's a non possessive pronoun referring to possessive noun "school's" but ı am unsure a little bit, would you please clarify it?

"The school’s having added art courses has benefited its"

Thank you for your valuable reply!

Actually, "its" is a possessive pronoun. "Its" is the possessive form of "it."

It's commonly accepted that a possessive pronoun, such as "its," can refer back to a noun in the possessive form, such as "school's"

So, yes, that reference is fine.

Hello gloomybison,

We hope this finds you well.

To answer your query, "its" is actually the possessive form of "it", so it can absolutely refer to the possessive noun "school's". "it's" with an apostrophe actually means "it is"; "its" is the possessive form.

We hope this helps.
All the best!
