This is awkward. All alternatives seem wrong. I am also a Grockit user. They have many strange questions. I regret paying the membership.

A was realized not because of product innovation but rather due to effective personnel management

B was not realized due to product innovation but rather it was through effective personnel management

C was realized not only due to product innovation but through effective personnel management

D was not realized by means of product innovation but rather due to effective personnel management

E was realized not due to product innovation but realized through effective personnel management

my process of POE

A - Unable to figure out what is wrong/right.. hold on.

B - Rather/ But seems redundant.
C - not only.. no but also

D - Rather/But seems redundant
E - replace due to by 'caused by' the sentence turns awkward

Only A is left

I applied NOT x BUT y idiom.

A and D are the only better options. I chose A as a better option. IMO 'by means of' in option D is unnecessarily wordy and can be omitted.
But i would like to know on what basis others have ruled out all the options as incorrect/awkward. Just to be on the same page.

Thanks,

yes, this question should be removed out of the forum as it is a self-made question.
This question is useless and has no value that test takers can learn at all.
The source is unclear, and the question has low quality.
