Do you think international students will be forced to defer matriculation by a year?

I think it’s going to be tough getting visas and I’m not flying to the US and paying $200k to take online classes from a dorm.

There’s absolutely no certainty around how the pandemic will progress in the next 3-9 months

Good question but Visa's can cause a havoc. I can see programs deferring those folks but that decision will be made in the month of May how to proceed and I can see embassies prioritizing some of the applications and schools also possibly doing online classes for part of the time for the international folks but the hard part is missing out on recruiting - hard to do online :(

Sounds so bad! and you are absolutely right.. flying to US and locking down in Dorm sounds so stupid..

Also, I feel it will be college specific? but again it is way too volatile right now.

Honestly I think things will start improving soon but may be they will start getting worse :shh: :(

I really hope the situation improves in a couple more months. Well, the Ebola lasted only 42 days! :p

I believe we are at the peak and should start seeing a downfall curve. I really really hope that things will start going back to normal in a month's time.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nc ... in-us.html

Washington is literally the worst state to be in right now. 700 confirmed cases in one state that too with Community transmission confirmed is a nightmare to say the least.

I think schools do understand the situation right now and they will make programs changes as per everyone's convenience. Make sure you keep them posted about this situation.

Also, Coronavirus is still not under control. It may happen that people need to defer admissions for a year - that's just my though. All the US schools have closed and we will have classes in online format for the rest of the semester. This sucks but it is what it is. Keep your fingers crossed! Good luck!

I know the US is THE destination for MBAs but for anyone interested in startups/entrepreneurship/tech The Hebrew University in Jerusalem has a great 11-month international program called International StartUp 360° MBA and they offer an entrepreneurship visa for those who want to stay after graduation.
Way more affordable than anything in the US and Israel is really ahead globally as far as innovation.
