Golfer
mangoman, phone interviews with kellogg adcom are typically 30 mins long. they are usually conducted for shortlisted guys from the pool which receives an interview waiver.
what % of this interview pool gets accepted is something that continues to intrigue me. anyone has any thoughts? rgupta83? cheetarah?- what's your take on it.
My assumption is as follows - The ones who get interviewed after a waiver are in the position that most individuals are after getting an invite from other schools. They probably have a 50% or so chance of admission since their interview invitation would be based on the read of the application.
Since Kellogg does interview everyone, I would say the interview has less impact at Kellogg then other schools, but still an impact. Being waived, is not a disadvantage as it truly lets you gage your position with Kellogg. Having the interview waived then being invited lets you know you are actually in the running and not some Joe Schmo who is not a good fit or qualified.
Just my 2 cents
BTW good luck to everyone this week and through next Monday. A week from today we will all know our place with Kellogg. Hopefully we all meet at Evanstan in the upcoming months...
