which source i can find Questions appear to be likely

Hu riteshv,

OG 12, GMAT math review 2nd and GMAT verbal review 2nd are the most reliable source for real GMAT problems. Despite the fact that they contain retired questions, they still represent the type of questions that you will find on the real GMAT.

I highly doubt that questions from OG would be repeated in real test. There may be cases where exact same logic question could be asked but no repetition.

Hi riteshv,

First off, you will not see questions from the OG on the actual GMAT.

Regarding your study plan, you likely will need more resources than just the OG to truly master GMAT quant and verbal. With that said, have you taken any recent practice exams? What is your score goal and when is your GMAT?

Once I learn some more about you, I can provide further advice.

Have you taken any official GMAC practice exams?

I have to say that actually there is a probability. I am not sure whether this particular question was from OG or GMATPrep, but I did see one.

Sometimes questions repeat topics from past questions.

Also, they sometimes use the same passage for different types of CR questions. So, I guess it's possible that a passage that's currently in the OG could also appear in live question.

However, they don't include among the live questions any of the same exact questions that have been released.

If the question was from GMATprep (on gmatclub), those are from the Official Mocks.

Hi riteshv,

The OG is a great book for practice but you likely will need additional resources. Have you checked out course reviews on GMAT Club?

I am not sure about CR. But I saw one SC question that was exactly same as the one of the GMATPrep question, and I have done the question multiple times. Sadly, I got it wrong on the real one because I was running out of time. :/

Yes, it was from the Official Mock.
Even the AWA topic was recycled. I did the same AWA topic for my 1st and 5th GMAT takes.

Sorry about missing the question.
Was it the same exact question or was it pretty similar or somewhat similar?

I’m curious and like to keep track of it. I guess this sort of emphasizes the needs to make sure that you can answer every single question in the official guide and GMAT prep because a similar question may arise or perhaps the same one…

Don’t feel bad by the way, in the early days of online GMAT, if you took GMAT and executive assessment in the same month, you would get the exact same question sets with 30-50% of questions overlapping… and even in that case, people still had a hard time improving their score

It was the exact same one. I knew how to solve it, but because I did not have much time, I spent only 3 seconds to select an answer and move on.

Unfortunately, this sort of thing can potentially inflate one's score artificially. Hopefully, you won't see any questions you've seen before on future mocks.

For time management, consider using time markers.

They would not repeat questions in the same test but I’m sure they don’t write the brand new questions for every single test that takes place every two weeks. It seems they would recycle instead and mix and match questions creating unique sets.
