Haven't ever posted here before, but I've lurked on this page to find out if other people had gotten interviews, so I thought it would only be fair to share: I'm a R2 applicant, and I got a Stanford invite about an hour ago. I'm really excited, especially since I didn't get an HBS one on Wednesday--feeling much better about life right now.
Good luck to everyone else applying!

Exact same thing happened to me in R1! Definitely made up for missing out on an HBS invite. Good luck for your interview!

Cerasi, thank you so much for sharing! On one hand it's great to know that the invites are rolling out for R2 apps... on the other hand the wait is even more painful now... Good luck to the rest of us waiting!

By the way, are you an international applicant?

I hope I haven't made things too much worse! I figured I was eager to keep checking for a reason, even if part of that reason was self-torture...

And no, I'm not international.

It's good to know things are moving on finally. Hope to hear some good news soon. Maybe international students needs more patience?
Haven't heard from other people who have received an invite... not sure if that's a function of:
1) Unfortunately for R2, not many 'forum'ers are invited to Stanford interviews, or 2) Stanford interviews are trickling out very slowly so only a small group have received them
Anyone has heard/know of any friends/colleagues who have received the Stanford invites?
Does anyone know if Stanford ever breaks their, "No feedback on applications" policy? I was denied after an interview R1 and am considering reapplying in the future. My interviewer thinks I should contact admission and ask.
I am in at Booth, but my company is now offering me some sweet incentives to stay for another year or two. Plus, I could bring up my GMAT and continue to build my startups on the side. Bird in the hand? Go for greatness? Arg.

You could ask your interviewer to ask for you. I think s/he would have more luck than you. Though I'm sure you'll just get some formulaic answer.

I think you should ask - worst case is you get told no.
Your second point is interesting. I think it would be impossible for anyone but you to decide! I wouldn't get lured by your company's sweet incentives though. I would think about the original reasons why you decided to pursue an MBA and ask have those fundamentally changed. I think you would have more luck developing a startup while at Booth, as opposed to while at your current job. Booth is an awesome school - do you really want to resit GMAT and go through this all again in two years!
Yahoo !! I made it .. Finally got an interview call from Stanford !! yipppeeee woopppiieee !! Feeling so ebullient right now . Was so dejected when was in the rejection list at Harvard !!

Congrats! Were you an international applicant? Which round did you apply?
I'm still thinking domestic r2 invites have yet to come... Based on the forum as well as conversations with mba consultants who work with many clients in their companies
