I was a Round 1 waitlist, so it's was a pleasant surprise to receive the interview invite. I'm staying in Bangalore, India and intend to travel to Delhi for the group activity.

I originally scheduled an off campus interview for Bangalore on the one available slot and the interview seemed to be scheduled. But when I checked it again today, Bangalore itself seems to have disappeared from the city options (weird right?). Well anyway, I've booked another slot in Chennai as well.

About some questions I've seen here:

General interview conversion ratio?

"What percentage of interviewed applicants are accepted?
A high percentage, maybe 70%. I don’t know off the top of my head. Well, we try to interview people who are going to be wait listed as well so we get those assessments in advance. Those in round one who get waitlisted may stack up higher against those applicants in round two. So it’s nice to have already completed the interview."

That's from the interview with Soojin Kwon.
https://poetsandquants.com/2011/12/15/th ... -business/

Skype or in person?

Now the interview scheduler itself mentions that in person interviews are preferred since they give a 'more positive experience' for both. As someone who's had both Skype and in person interviews, I sort of agree. But they understand that applicants may be busy so they value all interview reports equally.

Let me know if anyone else from Bangalore is travelling to Delhi.

Got the invitation, too.
I wanted to reserve a seat for the team discussion,
but there seems to have been an error when I submitted..
For those who did reserve a seat for the team discussion,
does it show up on the interview reservation site?
If so, where does is show?

I was also looking for someone to answer this same question. Those who selected the team exercise option, what happens after you select it? Does it immidiately show that your seat has been confirmed? (I am looking for people who have chosen one of the international locations as their group exercise option)

Please answer soon if someone has an idea..Thanks

Well once I booked my interview and opted for the group activity in Delhi, I now see this in the 'Schedule Interview' section:

"Schedule Interview

You have open Off-Campus interview requests. Click here to view.

Your Team Exericise interview is scheduled for 2/8/2014
"

So I guess i have a slot booked. I'm sure we'll get further notifications in the coming days. They obviously need to tell us the venue and time so hang in there.

Also, thanks Tarun, I've PMed Amit. I'll see you guys in Delhi I guess :-)

I am facing a similar issue.
I first booked a seat for the team discussion in Delhi and now I am not able to schedule a date for the main interview. Is it an error or did we goof up by selecting the team discussion first instead of selecting the interview first, as advised in the email:

" Please note that the programming for the off-campus team-based exercises does not include individual interviews, so you will first need to schedule either an off-campus individual interview or a skype interview if you plan to attend."

I guess we will have to write to ad-com.

I too have received an error. I have booked a slot for Group Excercise, but can't see any confirmation message

Well, I have both booked an interview and reserved a slot for the group discussion in Delhi. In my opinion, all of those who have had trouble with scheduling either one of the above, please write to the Ad-Com ASAP so that they can reserve your desired slots.

Hello there,

I received an invite to interview with Ross on Thursday 1/16 and immediately went to the portal and requested an off-campus interview for the morning of 1/22. I still haven't heard back and I'm wondering if I should 1. just wait or 2. request another interview at a later date/time. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Yes, me!

Do you guys think participating in the group exercise can hurt our chances? I'm debating whether I should just interview with alumni locally...

Hi,

This is for all those who are thinking about whether to go for a Skype or a face-to-face interview.
I opted for a Skype interview, was interviewed by a 2nd year student and got an admit in Round 1. I know a lot of people do prefer face-to-face interviews off-campus. I probably would have said that too if I didn't have an admit. But, well, that's not the case.

So I'd suggest not to worry about the medium of the interview and concentrate more on the content.

All the best! :)

I've scheduled an off-campus interview as well as the team exercise interview, but there's no "Your Team Exercise interview is scheduled for..." message even though I've received an email from the interviewer. Anyone else got this problem?

Hi,

Repeating the question some others have asked...

Is this the final interview call from Ross for R2? Do Ross folks call applicants for interview in a staggered manner?

Hi Siddharth. I have around 42 months of work experience in the consulting industry in India. I got the interview call on 18th January (just like the rest of the people). Do let me know if you have any further questions. I am not sure in what manner does Ross send interview invites!
