Hi Guys,

Needed some urgent advice! got interview invite couple of days back. Wanted to know how optional and critical is the "optional" team exercise?

I am currently located in Singapore (will opt for off-campus interview in Singapore only) and the locations for team exercise interview are only in Delhi (nearest for me), Seoul, Shanghai and Sao Paulo. Although it will be painful, I can come to Delhi if it will be very critical for the evaluation.

I opted for the team exercise since I am based in Delhi. Not attending the team exercise will not negatively impact your application to Ross (told in an interview by the Admissions Director). If it is easy for you to manage a travel to Delhi, then you should probably attend.

I blocked my interview in Delhi on Feb 7th, along with the team based excercise on Feb 8th, around 4-5 days ago yet I havent received any reply from the Alum who I will be matched with - is anyone else in the same situation?

At the 1:22 mark she notes that it is optional. It kind of sounds like it would be ideal for candidates to do it, but with the travel cost you'll just have to make that decision yourself I guess. We can't really know how helpful it is. I would be surprised if a good candidate would get dinged for not doing it though...

I would like to wish that the consultant's statement is not 100% correct since there were multiple waves of interview requests sent in 2011 as per following Ross Ad Com blog archive. Though, it seems like bulk of them are send in the initial wave (based on data published of R1 interview requests).

I submitted application for R2 (12/31 completed)

I hate this situation. I just want to know whether rejection, waiting or still more waves...

Hi. If you got your invite a couple of days ago - that means - 20th Jan, 2014. Some got it on 16th; majority on 17th; a few on 18th ....... Does this mean there are still people getting interview invites.

Can you surely say that you got the mail on the 20th ? Just to confirm the hopes of those waiting

Submitted my application on Jan 1st Tokyo Time (Dec 31st, US Time).
The wait is killing me.

On a lighter note, I felt this helpless only when I proposed my wife and she took her sweet time to say a "yes" ;)

I put in my application near the very end, on January 1st 2014, EST.

Yesterday I got another email from Ross (kicking me awake yet again) but it turned out to be a promotional email - "A Snapshot of our newest students".

I just got an email saying my application is "complete" and has been forwarded for an evaluation... but I haven't completed the interview yet. Anyone else get this?

I just received the same email. Anyone have any ideas what it could mean?

I woke up today to find the same thing in my inbox. I replied immediately asking whether they were looking at my app in R2 or R3. I'll post their reply here as soon as I get it.

Ok, Ross Admissions replied. From what they said, I think the interview invites are done, and the email that says your application is 'complete' means you should expect a ding or a WL.

Congrats to those who were invited :).. and the rest of us need to start waiting on our other applications. Stay Strong people!
