This is for all Indian candidates, who have received an interview invite -

I scheduled an interview with the alumni in mumbai. Within a day I got a mail saying that the alumni in mumbai has moved out and I was asked to reschedule it.

I rescheduled it for 1st feb in delhi on the 18th of jan and since then there is no response at all.

Its been 7 days. I did get the team exercise invite but nothing on the interview front.

Anyone else in this situation?

Dont want to sound pushy so not mailing the adcom as yet. But after monday i will have no choice as the airline tickets are no that cheap!

Besides my professional deliverables are getting screwed real bad.

I am on the same boat as you mate - scheduled my interview in Delhi for Feb 7, and the team exercise on Feb 8. Got the confirmation for the team based exercise today but nothing on the interview front. I too need to sort my airline tickets and logistics and hence, will be calling admissions on Monday to follow-up on the interview front...

Me too. All Mumbai slots got filled within 12 hours of the interview invite; as a result I chose 9th Feb in Delhi (to club it with team activity on 8th). Not booked tickets yet but no response from interviewer yet either.

I notified Ross about this. They said they've contacted my interviewer and I should wait until Sunday to hear back and contact the adcom again if I get no response by then. This advice was given to me on Friday.

I too requested for a slot in Mumbai, but didn't receive a confirmation for 5 days, emailed adcom then and found out the interviewer is no longer in Mumbai. The slots in Mumbai were all full by then, so have requested a slot in Delhi for 30th Jan, but haven't got a confirmation yet. Will email adcom tomorrow morning probably. Got the tickets done as I was getting them cheap, so in the worst case scenario will have to get them cancelled.

No, i think just a couple of slots were cancelled because one or two interviewers are no longer in Mumbai. I am sure you will receive confirmation for the interview with details shortly. You can always email adcom if it's already been a few days since you requested a slot.

For those who received R2 interview invitations and scheduled, can you currently access your interview day information/itinerary (under "Interview Information")? On the invite day, there was a full day itinerary posted with things you could opt-in and out of--but I no longer have access to that on the portal and didn't write it down thinking I could just return to the site later.

If you can see it, please PM me the link of the URL for Interview Information--for now, all I see is the read me instructions from when we first logged into the site (re: remembering login, links about Ann Arbor, etc.).

Thanks!

Ok, Ross Admissions replied. From what they said, I think the interview invites are done, and the email that says your application is 'complete' means you should expect a ding or a WL.

Congrats to those who were invited :).. and the rest of us need to start waiting on our other applications. Stay Strong people!

Hey,

I did not understand your comment properly. Do you mean to say all those who got this email should expect a ding or waitlist? I also received this mail but I also received interview invite on 17th. Hence, I am confused how could they say ding or waitlist if interviews are not even completed yet.

Here it is in more clear words: If you get this email, it means that the ad-com looked at your application and made a decision. So if you get this mail + an interview invite, the decision is to invite you for interview. For those who get this without an invite, it means that the ad-com has decided not to invite you to an interview, and that you should wait to access your decision in March ( and that practically means a WL or D)

Stats for Yale SOM.
Stats for Duke Fuqua.
Stats for CMU Tepper.

What are your chances of admission based on GMAT scores?

According to businessweek, last year there were 2647 applicants, 34% of whom were accepted. They were kind enough to publish the breakdown of GMAT scores.

We can use this data to extrapolate and obtain odds of admission based on GMAT scores.

I also have data for the previous year, which is shown below:

It's interesting to note here both the drop in number of applicants, and increase in number of acceptance.

Remember to take this whole thing with a grain of salt! It's meant to be fun and meaningless.
Good luck everyone!

Hi,

Are you speculating here? Or, do you know this for sure? I never got the mentioned email. I am wondering where my application went. The official status is in 'submitted' state. Is there anyone in the same state here?

The only email I received from Ross is an ' application received' email.

The same thing happened to me. I reached out to adcom (I think i was pushy :D but I got a response every time so there are good people on the adcom). I was told to re-schedule but couldnt as the option disappeared. Reached out to adcom again, they fixed it in 3 odd days. When I then logged in only 25th and 26th Jan came as an option in Mumbai, i registered for 26th but wasn't matched with anyone. Yesterday I reached out again to adcom and they said to schedule a Skype interview, I have now done that. I mentioned the point about whether the Skype interview will be a disadvantage and I was assured that the skype interview will be treated equally. So that is where I stand.

I will be going for the team exercise to Delhi so will meet up with all those who are going there

Can someone who has done the team exercise explain it a little more clearly? I saw the video explanation but I'm still a little confused.

FROM Ross (Michigan) Admissions Blog by Soojin Kwon: More than you ever wanted to know about interviews
I think the character from the movie “Frozen” has made her way to Ann Arbor. Like many of you, we are experiencing frigid temps. For the first time in 36 years, the University of Michigan canceled classes; however, the Ross School of Business is still operating, with recruiters on campus and the fearless admissions team in the office organizing team exercises and writing blogs. Within 48 hours of putting our interview schedule online, all slots were filled. So we opened up more slots. And those filled up. We’ve since added more than 100 new slots for the on-campus team exercise....
This Blog post was imported into the forum automatically. We hope you found it helpful. Please use the Kudos button if you did, or please PM/DM me if you found it disruptive and I will take care of it. -BB
