Has application status changed from Submitted to anything else for anyone?

Mine is 'Submitted'. No change. I guess we have to wait for another week. Still some hope.

Have you received an interview invite? Mine is submitted too and have not received the interview invite. I wonder if anything will change in the next week.

same status, waiting for interview invite. Doesn't look all that bright but you still have to hang on to slim hope. The interviews are sent based on the competitiveness of the applications, this is what I got to know from ad com director.

What does "based on the competitiveness of the application" mean?

This is what my understanding is - Your application will be compared with other applicantions and based on that you may or may not get interview invite.

Oh thanks. Something else that I thought it could be would be how competitive the field you're coming from is. Say you're in I Banking, that's more competitive than marketing. Are you sure that's not what they meant? Because I got an interview invite 2 days after the application. Would that mean that they liked my application THAT much more than my competition? I received an invite 2nd week of November. Online status has been "Submitted" since the date I submitted the application. Nothing has changed - before or after interview.
