Overall - 640 (73rd percentile)
Quant - Scaled score - 41 - 54 Percentile
Verbal - Scaled score - 38 - 84 Percentile
Quant:
I started off Quant by losing 4 minutes. The screen after the 1 min instruction screen stated something like "Click Ok when ready to begin the test". I had no clue that the time I spent waiting on that screen would be counted against the 75 minutes for the Quant section.
I had timing issues all through Quant and felt very nervous knowing that I lost 4 minutes to start with. I gained my composure half way through quant but it was a little too late. But, looking back I don't think I would have done extremely well on Quant even if I started off on time etc. So really I found the Quant section
to be challenging.
Verbal:
The verbal section was a lot more manageable. I was rushed on time on the last 5 questions but overall I went through this section staying calm and focused. But again I didn't ace this section either.
My Target score - 700+.
Should I give it again? What are the odds I can beat the GMAT? I already spent 9 months preparing for the GMAT using all the good books.
GMAT Prep scores:
First attempt Test 1 - 620. Did not review the test since I knew I would want to take it again.
First attempt Test 2 - 620. Did not review the test since I knew I would want to take it again.
Second attempt Test 1 - 720. Very few repeats (2 in Quant and 1 in Verbal)
Second attempt Test 1 - 720. Very few repeats (1-2 in Quant, 3 in verbal)
MGMAT CAT scores:
630, 640
Any advice is helpful.

Hi everyone,
I just took the GMAT and scored a 690 (Q47/V38). I would have been happier had I gone past the 700 mark but I am satisfied nonetheless. I have been a regular here at the forums, thought I'd share my experience and give back to the community in whatever little way I can.
Many others have shared details about the various study materials online so I don't think I would be able to add any new info regarding that. However I really want to stress that Thursdays with Ron is THE most under-rated resource (I can't believe its free!) and please please try to make the most of it. If you can internalize everything's that discussed during the study halls, there is no doubt in my mind that you would improve by leaps and bounds. I think you would be able to make the most of the discussions once you are in the 640-650 range, since you would have already gotten a grip of the basics and the nature of the GMAT.
I scored a 540 on a GMATPrep I took during the 1st week of study. I made gradual improvement till I reached the 640 mark but then faced a major challenge - my score plateaued and no matter which test I took (GPrep, MGMAT, Kaplan), I scored within the same range. I simply couldn't figure a way to push my Verbal score past V28-V30.
I think the first step in the right direction at this point was to accept that although I had faith in my abilities and had gone through almost all the prep material, I needed to change my approach. Thinking about it, I realized I was trying to employ most of the strategies that were discussed on these forums without really assessing whether they were the best strategies for me or not. Here are my 2 cents - find a strategy that works for YOU and make sure you master it. If I could go from V28 to V38 in 3 weeks with this simple realization, I am sure you can too, perhaps do even better.
I have read a bunch of success stories here and have been inspired by them. I hope I have shared something of value and you would find my post helpful in some way. Finally, I want to give a shout out to Ron and Stacey (MGMAT), Andrew (Clearmountain Prep) and Vince Ricci (Vinceprep) - your guidance and motivation went a long way in helping me improve. Thanks so much!

You must retake in a months time. Significant increase of 4-5 points on quants may lead to a score a score close to 700.
Do not lose heart, u r almost der, do not make any changes in your style. Just chill go fr another shot.
