Just had my first interview today.
It was very conversational, the interviewer attended INSEAD 7 years ago, and is now a director at a huge Engineering consultancy. Interview went around 50 mins at his office.
- Asked me to run through my Resume since I graduated from bachelors.
- Reasons for why I made certain moves in my career.
- Why MBA, why now, why INSEAD.
- how I am going to finance it.
- My goal after Insead, what happens if I dont get accepted
- What concentration within MBA I have in mind & why.
- My hobbies & extracurriculars.
- At the end told me about his insead experience, what 'work hard play hard' meant at insead. And how strong the Alumni network is.
The Preselection notification deadline is tomorrow. Goodluck to everyone who is still waiting for a response and those who are interviewing.
One more interview to go next week, and then I'll be done with MBA applications for life :D

Just wondering: how is everyone planning to answer the "if not INSEAD, then what" question? I believe it's quite a common question in INSEAD interviews across geographies...wonder if there's anything particular they are looking for

I guess I would just mention my alternatives (other MBA programs, continue in/change the current job). My guess is that what they are looking for in this kind of questions is "what do you plan to do in order to get to your post-mba objectives without an INSEAD MBA." They probably want to see that you can get to your objectives through various ways.
