Had my interview today (just over an hour) and simply loved it. The interviewer was engaging and we shared good laughters (about consulting lifestyle) and stories.
No curve ball questions - know your "why"s: why your alma mater, why your choice of academic discipline, leadership style and examples, why MBA, tell me about a time you did something effective.
Unless I'm missing something, I'm not aware of a SINGLE person from New York City getting an invite yet (either in GMATClub or based on conversations off of the site). So I think we can still have some hope....
If it makes you guys feel any better, I work for a traditional feeder firm and I haven't heard of a single person get an invite from the folks who applied from my firm ... I don't think all hope is lost yet. Keep calm ... and wait on.

I saw an update from Stanford, opened my email went into my account and a lot of letters (black and red) with exclamation marks and GSB language but in other words, not the usual congratulations. I was shocked for 20 seconds until I finally realized that is wasn't a ding! In fact, it was an invite. As soon as I woke up from this dream, I realized that GSB still mattered to me deep inside even though I've managed to handle the anxiety by focusing on my other schools. Damn! This is going to get crazy next week.
