In HBS as well. Such a relief and it was such a journey. I want to thank everyone around me who have been supporting me along the way. And personally I have benefited enormously for having a mentor in this process. I really just want to share the name of the consultant I worked with and developed a strong connection with.

Her name is Alice van Harten. I had shopped around before choosing a consultant and Alice struck me as a warm, down-to-earth person, whom I want to open myself to. More importantly, Alice believed in me and was always there for me especially when I doubted myself. I am just so grateful.

For those who are preparing for R2, I recommend just having a chat with her about your progress. It doesn't hurt. :)

Here is her website: https://menlocoaching.com/

All the best to those who are still working on your application!

and by the way, I applied to HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Yale, MIT, Columbia. Except for Stanford who waitlisted me, I was invited to interview for all other schools.

No better time than ever to post my first comment.

I have been a (very) silent observer to this thread for the last few months. I have been following everybody's highs and lows while I quietly squirrel away at my own R2 application.

Just want to congratulate all those who have received good news today! some of you are outstanding! I can only dream of joining you all later down the road....

Looking forward to seeking your advice and connecting with other R2's in the coming weeks as we sweat it out & put the final touches on our applications :)

See you guys at admit weekend! And for round 2 applicants, good luck and give the HBSguru a call for interview prep. I would not have gotten in without his help in my interview preparation.

When I woke up this morning I had to look at my phone to ensure yesterday wasn't a dream.

Congrats to everyone accepted! You'll continue to get several phone calls from HBS students, staff and alumni. However, in the meantime if you have any questions, defintely don't hesitate to reach out to me. Im also happy to discuss the decision-making process if you're deciding between offers, namely HBS and GSB. Congrats again!!

To all those who are admitted, a BIG congratulations to all of you. I can almost feel the excitement and happiness around.
Pushes me to work more hard as i intend to apply the next year.

A simple heartfelt request to all of you:

Can you guys please post the name of admissions / consultancy services you worked with to prepare your applications? I am sure many in the future applicant pool may want to know this.

Once again, congratulations to all of you. You all serve as an inspiration to the many people who dream of getting into HBS.

Thank You.

Thank You.

Didn't use any, but I did use MentMo to have some conversations with current students. Found it quite helpful as it allows you to stay authentic while also learning about what HBS is looking for.

Also didn't use any consultancy. Talking to current students and recent grads was the single most useful thing during the application process (including interview prep). I found that there is a very strong "pay it forward" ethic, and everyone I reached out to was very willing to give feedback on essays, do practice interviews, or give general tips. Note that none of the people I reached out to were close friends - some were acquaintances, others were brand new connections. So reach out to your network and see how far that gets you! You may find you don't need a formal consultant. Different things work for different people, but in my case, I was *much* more comfortable shaping my own approach/voice with the help of a few people who have been through the process recently.
