Guys, are EU citizens considered "over-represented" in the admission process at, lets say, top 20 schools ?

I doubt that is the case. I think its more to do with a country rather than a continent..

As mentioned earlier on this thread : Anderson continues to send invites till January. Even after that, they waitlist some of the candidates and interview them in R2 (which can extend up till March)

So the simple answer to your question is : No, you should not consider it as a ding if you haven't yet received an invite yet

Hello all,
I interviewed with Anderson on campus. Overall, as others had mentioned, I had a great experience interacting with a 2nd year MBA student. He was very friendly and gave a lot of insights about his experiences at Anderson.

Walk me through your resume
Goals post MBA
Why Anderson
Clubs in Anderson - personal interests
A professional leadership experience
Elaborate on the most recent professional experience
Conflict with supervisor
What would you have done differently in life given a chance - say an alternate career path
Biggest strength coming to Anderson
Gave some time for questions at the end.

Hope this helps. All the best !

I interviewed today with a second year student. It was completed in sharp 30 mins. Discussion took place around -

Tell me about yourself beyond professional life?
Story of developing your start-up from the beginning.
Goals?
Why MBA?
Why UCLA?

It was very conversational where my interviewer keep giving me the feedback about the things he liked in my answers while sharing his experience of the highly collaborative community of UCLA. He also helped me with the resources which would enable me to achieve my career goals. After the interaction, I have to say, I can't wait to to be a part of Anderson MBA community.

Hi Guys,
Nice to meet you all :))
I have some questions regarding the school's admission process.

The questions are as follow:
1. If I submit my application in April 2015, which semester are we enrolled in? Is it possible to choose our starting date?
2. I've heard that it is the hardest to get in in R3 due to the students quota limit. Is it true??

thank you for your kind response

Hi Queztizone,

The April deadline is for Fall 2015 start. It is possible to defer for a year, but it is very difficult. You have to have a very legitimate reason. Round 3 is traditionally the most difficult as most seats in the class have been filled and the adcom maybe looking for specific profiles to round out the class. Hope that helps.

1. If you apply April (R3) you will be starting in the Fall of 2015. I don't think its possible to start at any other time, I haven't heard of any B-Schools that allow this.
2. R3 is undoubtedly the most difficult round to get in. Unless you have a really stellar application or compelling reason to apply later I would highly suggest that you try to get your application in for R2.

Hope that helps.

I know Columbia offers a January start, but I don't think there are many other US schools that offer that.

Jessica and Kelly, the members of the Admissions Committee that attended the chat today mentioned they will be releasing a batch of early admit decisions, but said they didn't know exactly when. I believe last year early admits were notified mid-December. Hope that helps!
