So that's it then. The 17th! Let's have a pool. How many of us can guess how many hair we'll still have by then? :P

A decent number of international students received phone calls. I don't remember whether there was anyone that found out they were accepted through the MIT portal.

The legendary MBAOver30 got his admit decision through the portal, but that was the year before last so not conclusive:
https://mbaover30.com/2013/01/29/accepted-at-mit-sloan/

But it could happen so best not to despair until you know it's over!

I had my interview yesterday in Cambridge- I felt that it went pretty well but I could of answered a question or two better.....hopefully nothing that would automatically ding me. Met a lot of the prospective students and really enjoyed the conversations. I asked my interviewer how they would let people know about their decision and she responded that they would use the portal. I wish everyone luck with their interviews/decisions.

I had my interview today at SF. The interviewer was friendly, but the questions are really event specific (led a team, idea got shut down, a time that you were uncomfortable, etc). What I am really nervous about is how short my interview was - barely 30 minutes. I am hoping my interviewer didn't just got bored with my answers ;)

My interview experience was somewhat different from the others I have seen on the forum.

I had my interview a few weeks ago on campus. Instead of doing a deep dive into any of my essays, I was asked a series of six or seven questions where they want to new stories, mostly dealing with times I've failed or had differing opinions from a team. I don't really feel that went into too much detail in any of them with my interviewer.

My interview lasted about an hour with the last 15 minutes devoted to my questions.

Just returned home from my interview in Cambridge. Very similar to yours. I was also asked for specific stories of goal setting and whether I was successful.

Hello folks,
Finished my Sloan interview at SFO. Most of the interview was behavioral with follow up questions. The interviewer was very friendly and took a lot of notes as I was answering.

Why MBA ? Why now ?
Why Sloan ?
What has changed in your application since submission ?
Behavioral questions and one/two follow up questions
- When your idea was shot down
- Mentored someone
- Personal accomplishment/goal
- Motivated a team towards a goal
- Led an initiative
- Conflict with a supervisor/co-worker

Anything else you would like the adcom to know
Time for questions at the end .

The wait begins and all the best to everyone!

FROM Sloan Admissions Blog: MIT Sloan Alumni Live Out Mission to Improve the World
I often hear from our students that though their time at MIT Sloan goes by quickly, they make long-lasting friendships and connections. Our alumni remain a key part of our MIT Sloan community after they graduate, and join an active network of more than 23,500 MIT Sloan alumni, and over 128,000 MIT alumni worldwide. Our alumni become principled industry leaders, living out the MIT Sloan mission and improving the world.

Our alumnus Javier Lozano, MBA ’10 and winner of the MIT Legatum Fellowship (among other awards) is an example of the scope and strength of our alumni network. Lozano is combatting the leading cause of death in Mexico: diabetes. He founded a network of for-profit, sustainable ‘Sugar Clinics’, which provide specialized and affordable healthcare to communities in need. The company continues to expand throughout Mexico, transforming medical care in its wake.

To learn more about our MIT Sloan alumni, and their work to make the world a better place, please visit our alumni blog and homepage.

Interviewed in SF. I feel very blah about it. Anyway, questions as follows:
Changes since app
Why MBA, Sloan?
Time you failed
Time dealt with a difficult person
Describe an initiative you promoted
How do you gain buy-in
Talked about my time in the military a little
Questions

30 min. It felt like the interviewer was a little tired of interviewing.

Eh. We'll see...

Eh. We'll see...

I felt the same way! (as in, very blah) and my interview was 30 min total. I was warned by a friend (an alum) that the interview can be uncomfortable so I try to convince myself that it is by design.

Anyway, I should share my questions too:

Update since last submitted
Time you led a team
Time your idea was shut down (I had to give two examples)
Why MBA
A time when you were uncomfortable
Explain the previous story in greater detail
Explain my career aspiration in greater detail
Questions (I thought, really? already?)

The interviewer was nice but it's hard to gauge what he thought

Is anyone else already dreaming about the potential admit phone call? The whole interview process just reinforced how great of an experience MIT Sloan would be.

Everyone seemed to have a pretty good time interviewing. Seems like the interviewers are hard to gauge. I felt pretty good after my interview but it still makes me a little nervous to be honest.

Fellow interviewees: was there any type of post-interview reflection submission? I didn't see anything in my e-mail or profile, but just wanted to cover my bases. Did any of you send a thank you note to your interviewer?

I sent a brief thank-you note to my interviewer, but there was no formal requirement to send one or to send a post-interview reflection like HBS.
