ohhhh, so today I took the gmat again only to lower my score... and i had to send an email to the adcom stating my result (since they asked me to).
well, frog the gmat, frog the mba and frog lbs, I quit this.

Good luck to everyone.

Sorry to hear about that! I'm not sure how many times you've done GMAT but it's not something to take lightly, particularly if you are not used to that type of examination. Don't lose hope.

Aren't we expected to hear something tomorrow?

Yes, tomorrow is the first deadline for R1 WL. If it's not tomorrow then I'll feel hopeless as the next deadline will be in May and I have better things to do than just sit and wait (not that I'm doing that now anyway).

Did anyone send any additional materials? I didnt have anything substntial to update the school on so I haven't sent anything. I hope that isn't seen negatively.

I had a meeting with Adcom, wrote a follow up letter and had alumni write recommendation letters. Pretty much ran out of ammo there.

Yeah, I guess that's what needs to be done. I know other people as well who have done this. Hope me not doing this doesn't hurt me.

Good luck to you!

On waitlist as well. They didnt move me up based on the 10th Feb discussions. Any idea how many people move from WL to an admit?

It's likely that there won't be movement till R2 decisions are out in March as they probably wish to compare WL applications with the R2 applications.

I'd say more like June or July. I met with the School and they were pretty straightforward in saying that they wait till summer. My suspicion is that the WL is used to manipulate de yield (not that other schools don't do it). Even though LBS yield is not public I think it's an input for some of the MBA rankings.

Anyone knows what percentage of waitlisted applicants are admitted to the program, on average? From the wording in the email, it sounds to me as LBS takes more applicants from the waitlist compared to other business schools.

I'd say 10-20%

Does anyone have the link using which LBS Alumni/current students can write in a recommendation for an applicant? I couldn't find it on the LBS website

PlastMan - Which form did your alumni use for submitting their recommendations?
