It sounds like you have an interesting profile!!!
You mentioned you "only" have 3 years of work experience and not much extracurricular activities. I am not too worried at all about both. It is not the quantity, but the quality, and if you can show some substantial work experience and quantifiable achievements - that is great!
I am missing some info to evaluate your profile in greater depth
For example, you didn't mention which country you come from (there are different countries from South East Asia
)another question around your profile is your job - have you had promotions in your 3 years? do you work with international teams/clients? (you mentioned the bank has a presence in other countries too, would the schools know the brand?)
and a huge other question is the family business - what area is it in and how involved are you in the business?
GPA sounds great (as you said, it is not about the grades and more about the place in the class!
Your GRE sounds fine if you don't come from an over competitive background, although, if you think you can get a couple more points, go for it! this can help with acceptance and with scholarships.
All in all - you have a good fit to the three schools, clear career goals (would try to connect the long term goal to the family business if possible), and on paper, you sound like a strong candiate who is missing some stellar -applications to get in!

Hi everyone - thanks for taking the time to evaluate this.
Target program/schools: EMBA from LBS (also will apply for Oxford and Cambridge but I really want to focus on LBS as I will be based in London for the next 5 years atleast)
GMAT: I took some diagnostic test back in 2014 (600) but haven't studied since. I am concerned that I don't have enough time/patience to study but will do my best. Seems the average is 700 so will be studying really hard to get close to this.
I have been delaying MBA plans for the last 5-6 years as I took on different international assignments and exploring the world but now seems like the right time as I want to transition into the industry in corporate/business strategy roles.
Concerns: Do you think I can get a GMAT waiver? How does my profile fair overall?

Work experience:
- - ~12 years at a reputable Indian research and analytics company where I started as an analyst and currently work as Senior Engagement Manager/AVP (4 promotions in 11 years; analyst-> senior analyst-> research manager-> engagement manager -> senior engagement manager).
- Have worked in India for 3 years, then Shanghai, China for 3.5 years, spent 1 year in San Jose, California working for a tech client and for the last 3 years I have been based in Raleigh, NC. I will be moving to London in Aug 2020 to join the European solution architect team focused on ICT Practice.
- Sector focus: In decreasing order of focus: ICT, Public health, Industrial goods, others (Consumer goods, off-road auto)
- My current role involves managing global programs (teams varying from 3-30 based in 4 countries) for our key accounts, act as an onshore consultant to the client and help grow the practice (the role has a 'revenue influenced' target)
- Key achievements: Internally viewed as the change management specialist and have helped salvage numerous accounts by improving quality and client experience; Converting 3 of them to key account status; Beat revenue influenced target ($1M+) consistently for last 3 years; rated 4+ in all 11 evaluations (on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being best)
Extra curricular:
- - Passionate about travelling: on a mission to visit 40 countries before I turn 40 (been to 26 so far). Have hosted and was hosted by people of various nationalities and backgrounds around the world using hospitality exchange websites such as Couchsurfing and BeWelcome; 40+ references from hosts, guests and fellow travelers)
- Love organizing local events in any city I am visiting or living in. In 2018 alone, organised 40+ events that helped new visitors/locals to explore the city - ranging from Art walks, city walking tours to game and DIY nights. Organized a Couchcrash for my city which is a weekend full of activities for travelers from around the world; attended by 75+ travelers.
- Social Media Ambassador for local food bank for last 2 years (since 2019)
- Lender on Milaap: Impacted 950+ lives through 100+ microloans focused on education and economic empowerment of women in rural India (since 2015)
- Invited Speaker to my Alma Mater: Spoke to 150+ students about how to make right career choices

- - Undergrad school/major: B.Sc. (H) Computer Science from a Top college in Delhi University 72% (which is 4.0 on the GPA scale).
- XIIth Grade: 87.6%
- Xth Grade: 86.6%

- - Hindi (Native)
- English (Bilingual fluency; IELTS Overall Band score 9.0)
- Chinese Mandarin (HS2; CEF level 2)

On the surface, your profile looks great and I feel you stand a fair chance to make it to LBS EMBA. You possess all the qualities that LBS is looking for a candidate. On the work front, you have it at par with the average (12 yrs), your UPS is your international experience which LBS greatly stresses. Clearly, you exhibit career progressions and have leadership experience of managing teams from 3-30 which is big and you have had a great impact too by excelling in terms of revenue. About your ECs, you have organized a number of events which, I think, will be the highlight of your ECs. On stats too, you are 4 on 4.
About your concern of GMAT waiver, you are eligible if you possess :
C-level experience in a heavily quantitative role from a medium/large organization
A Masters qualification and higher in a quantitative field
Relevant Professional Qualifications ie: CFA Level 2, ACCA Level 4
Are a Vice President or Senior VP in Business Services, Technology sector with demonstrated experience in leading a function for a minimum of 2 years
So, what I can assess from these details is you are not eligible for this (you may check if your role now is equivalent to a senior VP and the duration of this role is a minimum of 2 years). Otherwise, you may like to give Executive assessment, a format for candidates like you, by GMAC (you may check it here). I would suggest you bring a global outlook of your career in your application and bring out a strong narrative of how LBS comes in the picture of your career progression (and what you’ll bring to the LBS community). What’s going to matter most in your application is how you connect all the dots and build a great story.
