Is it uncommon for popular schools (Top 20) to send meetup invites at these MBA Tours? It seems like most of the invites come from the smaller local schools.

Good question - If it is a Top 20 school, they don't need the clout and help of a third party to get people to meet them/get students to visit and as the result the top 20 schools usually do not attend the Tour. They have their own events and they only partner with MBA Tour for a few of their cities/locations where they are not planning to do a recruiting event (these are their secondary/tertiary markets where they get only a handful of candidates from).
So if you are in a major location, Top 20's are not coming there with the Tour. They will have their own separate events. They are simply too cool

This first august Northwestern, Cornell, Ross, and McCombs School of Business are visiting India. Although I am surprised to see Top 20 in India coming to talk about their FT programs, I am happy that I get one more chance to interact with members from the Admissions Team:)
